[PHOTO] Sixteen photos from a stroll west of Lake Ontario from Dufferin Street to Palace Pier

Walking west one evening last week along the Lake Ontario shoreline, from the Dufferin Loop all the way to the Palace Pier on just the far side of the Humber River, was enjoyable. It was a glorious summer night.

[PHOTO] Five photos of the “Toronto” sign in Humber Bay Shores Park

The “Toronto” sign built this July out of stray driftwood by Toronto artists Thelia Sanders-Shelton and Julie Ryan out of driftwood on a breakwater in Humber Bay Shores Park got a significant amount of press coverage. It even went viral. I was sadened to learn that storms and the hostile weather of fall generally has torn the sign down to almost nothing. At least we have our photos and memories–I certainly have mine.
